Dog-Augspurger Tie Trail

The view is expansive at Dog Mountain.

This is a tie trail between the Dog Mountain Trail and the Augsperger Mountain trail, passing through forest with a gentle grade. 

The trail begins at Dog Mountain Trail #147 in the meadow and ends at Augspurger Trail #4407 at mile 2.8.

Permit Info: Each hiker must carry a permit or digital proof of permit each year on Saturdays and Sundays & Memorial Day during peak spring wildflower season. 2022 Permit Dates: TBD.

Restrictions: Motor vehicles and bikes are prohibited. Fires not allowed within 200 feet of trail.

General Information

Directions:

From Portland, OR: Travel east on Interstate 84 to Cascade Locks exit #44.  Cross the Columbia River on the Bridge of the Gods and turn right on Washington State Highway 14.  Travel approximately 12 miles to the sign for the Dog Mountain Trailhead and pullout on the left (north) between milepost 53 and 54.

From Bingen, WA: Travel west on Washington State Highway 14 approximately 13 miles to the sign for the Dog Mountain Trailhead.
