Horsetail Creek Trail (#425)

Area Status: Closed
This area is Closed

This 5.6 mile trail goes alongside and crosses Horsetail Creek, as well as several meadows. It runs from Oneonta Trail #424, at a junction 3 miles from the Oneonta Trailhead, to Nesmith Point Road 222. A portion of this trail is in Mark O Hatfield Wilderness.

CAUTION: Oneonta Creek at the bottom of the trail is not passable in the winter and spring. Westernmost section is a very steep series of switchbacks.  Although it makes a good loop with Bell Creek, do not count on crossing during high water seasons.
