HCRH State Trail - Twin Tunnels Segment

Pass through two climate zones and two tunnels along this paved, car-free 4.5-mile section of the Historic Columbia River Highway with spectacular geology, wildflowers, scenic overlooks. Head west from Mosier, which has a self-serve bike fix-it center a quarter mile outside or head east from Hood River at one of the Mark O. Hatfield Trailheads ($5 day-use fee). The West Trailhead boasts a Visitor Center, open 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. everyday, which provides historic information on the building of the tunnels. Visit website >
