Dead Indian Trail (# 83)

  

Dead Indian Trail (# 83) is 4.5 miles long. The trail begins at the Lodgepole Trailhead on Forest Road 2142 and ends at district boundary. Elevation change: 3000 feet. The trail is open for the following uses: Hiking, Mountain Biking, Horseback Riding.

Directions from Beartooth Ranger District office:

Drive north on US Hwy 212 towards Red Lodge for two miles. Turn left (west) onto MT-78. Drive 30 miles and turn left (west) onto MT-419. Drive 20.4 miles and turn right (north) to stay on MT-419. Drive 0.9 miles and turn left (west) on Limestone Rd. Drive 4.7 miles and bear right onto Meyers Creek Rd. After two miles the road becomes Lodgepole Rd. The road deadends in another 3 miles at the trailhead.
