Sky Bridge Trail #214 Map

Sky Bridge Trail #214, a semi-blacktop loop trail, leaves the Sky Bridge parking area and extends along a high narrow ridge to Sky Bridge and scenic overlooks. The trail passes over and beneath Sky Bridge, and then along a high cliff shelf back to the parking area.
The main attractions are breathtaking overlooks into the Red River Gorge and the natural sandstone arch known as Sky Bridge.

Both directions of the Mountain Parkway between exits 33 and 40 in Powell and Wolfe counties have reopened.

General Information


The toilets and pathway to the overlook are accessible.


From Slade, turn right on KY 15 and travel east 7 miles to KY 715. Turn left on 715 and continue for 4.7 miles to Sky Bridge Road.

From Pine Ridge (exit 40 on the Mountain Parkway), head west on KY 15 to KY 715. Turn right on 715 and continue 4.7 miles to Sky Bridge Road.


Parking is available at the Sky Bridge Recreation Area.
