Limestone Connector #109A, near Cave Run Lake on Cumberland Ranger District,  begins at US 60 and travels south, crossing a swinging bridge over Triplett Creek, then ends at the Sheltowee Trace on Limestone Ridge.

Trail difficulty level: Easiest.

Hiking and mountain biking are permitted on this trail. Horse and motorized use are not permitted.

Permit Info: A Special Use Permit is required for commercial activities (for example: fishing tournaments, rental of boats, trail rides, races, etc). A permit is also required for all noncommercial group uses involving more than 75 people.
Open Season: Open all year
  • The trail is open to mountain biking and hiking use only. Horse and motorized use are prohibited.
  • Prohibited: Possessing or operating a motor vehicle on roads, trails and areas not designated for that purpose on Motorized Vehicle Use Maps. 36 CFR 261.13.
  • Obey trail use designations as signed.
  • Respect seasonal closures. Avoid using trails when wet. Wet and muddy trails are more vulnerable to damage than dry ones.
  • Stay on designated trails. No cross country travel.
  • Alcohol use is prohibited: Consumption of alcohol is prohibited on national forest land and Kentucky lakes and waterways. KRS 222.202 .
  • Shortcutting a switchback on trails is prohibited. (Order DB-08-15)

This trail does not meet accessibility standards for persons with disabilities. 

General Notes:

Section 7 of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail is not open to horses. This section of trail crosses a suspension bridge.
