Cross Over Trail #107 is a level ridge-top route that begins at the junction of Zilpo National Forest Scenic Byway and Forest Service Road 1225 and ends at Buck Creek Trail #118. The trail provides access to Pioneer Weapons Wildlife Management Area trails. It is located near Cave Run Lake on the Cumberland Ranger District.

Horses and Hiking PermittedTrail is open to hiking and mountain biking. Horse and motorized use not permitted.

Cross Over Trail. Begins at intersection of Hog Pen Trail #106 and Cave Run Trail #112 in the Pioneer Weapons Wildlife Management Area. The trail follows gravel Forest Service Road 1225 south along the ridge to Zilpo National Forest Scenic Byway 918. Continues south, crossing 918 to Boardinghouse Branch to join Buck Creek Trail #118.

  • The trail is open to mountain biking and hiking use only. Horse and motorized use are prohibited.
  • Stay on designated trails. No cross country travel. Don't cut switchbacks.
  • Obey trail use designations as signed.
  • Respect seasonal closures. Avoid using trails when wet. Wet and muddy trails are more vulnerable to damage than dry ones.

This trail does not meet accessibility standards for persons with disabilities. 


Take KY 211 south from Salt Lick for 4 miles. Turn left (east) on Forest Service Road 129. Go 2.5 miles to Forest Service Road 918. Follow 918 approximately 3.5 miles to Zilpo Recreation Area.


Limited parking is available for 1 or 2 cars at Zilpo Scenic Byway and Forest Service Road 1225.
