2020 Cave Run Horse Trail Calendar

Leatherwood Loop Trail #116A winds through mature hardwood forest with cliffline to the north and Leatherwood Creek to the south. Rock formations and cliff areas can be viewed along the way. Creek water for horses is available along most of the trail. This trail is located near Cave Run Lake on the Cumberland Ranger District.

Leatherwood Loop Trail incorporates old timber roads to make a loop. Winds through cliff-lined areas and follows Leatherwood Creek adjacent to Leatherwood Road.

  • Horses must use designated tie up areas. Do not tie horses to trees.
