Carrington Branch Trail #121 begins at a private campground off KY 36, then climbs up a steep hillside with switchbacks before entering national forest land. Follows the ridge before joining Forest Service Road 912.

Trail Difficulty Level: More Difficult.

This trail is located near Cave Run Lake on Cumberland Ranger District. This 8,270-acre lake is jointly operated and managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Forest Service. Cave Run Lake is widely known for its scenic beauty and varied outdoor recreation opportunities. The lake is also the home of Kentucky's state record muskie.

Horse Use and Hiking Permitted Horse use and hiking are permitted. Mountain biking and motorized use are not permitted. Trail open to horses and hikers May 15 to December 15. Open to hikers only December 16 to May 14.
