Rush Ridge Trail #227 is a connector trail that passes along a wooded ridge with several scenic overlooks into the gorge. The trail connects the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail #100 (Pinch-em-tight) with Rough Trail #221.

This trail is located in the Red River Gorge on Cumberland Ranger District.

Directions:

From Slade, travel east on KY 15 for 3.2 miles to Tunnel Ridge Road on the left. Follow Tunnel Ridge Road 0.7-mile to the Pinch-em-tight parking area on the left. Hike the Pinch-em-tight Trail to its junction with Rush Ridge Trail #227.


Parking:

Parking is available at the Pinch-em-tight parking area.
