Sheltowee Trace Trail #100 Section 17

This area is Open

This section of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail #100 is located on Cumberland Ranger District. It begins at KY 52 and continues to Heidelburg and the Kentucky River.  The trail descends into the Spruce Fork Creek Gorge.

Trail Connections: Sheltowee Trace #100 section 16 (9 miles)  and section 18 (8 miles)

General Information


Turn south off the Mountain Parkway at Slade to KY 11. Continue 7 miles to Zachariah and KY 1036. Follow KY 1036 for 7 miles to KY 52. Travel south on KY 52 for 1.3 miles. The trail is on the right.
