Laurel River Lake has 5,600 acres of water surface and nearly 200 miles of tree-lined shore. Visitors can enjoy boating, swimming, fishing and camping.

Flatwoods Trail follows the shoreline of Laurel River Lake for most of its length. There are several trails that lead back up the hill to the picnic area. The path meanders through hickory and oak forests.

General Information


From I-75 exit 29, take KY 770 west for 1.3 miles. Stay straight on KY 312 west for 0.5-mile. Turn left on KY 3430 for 2.3 miles. Turn left on Forest Service Road 758 for 2.4 miles.


The toilets at Flatwoods Boat Ramp are accessible. 


Parking is available at the picnic area.
