Sheltowee Trace Trail #100 Section 21 Horse Lick
Sheltowee Trace Section 21 Horse Lick of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail is located on London Ranger District. It begins at Forest Service Road 3085 and runs parallel to the road toward S-Tree Campground. At two miles, the trail crosses Forest Service Road 43 and continues for another two miles before intersecting with a short connector trail that leads to S-Tree Campground.
Motorcycles and off-highway vehicles less than 50" wide may use the connecting trail to reach the campground and the Renfro Loop Trail, which is also open to motorized use.
Forest Service Road 437 is closed to unlicensed vehicles.
The Sheltowee Trace continues across Forest Service Road 20 and follows Forest Service Road 437 to 455. This section of trail is especially scenic along Raccoon Creek and Horse Lick Creek.
This trail section has seven creek crossings, which are fords hardened with concrete planks. During periods of heavy rain, these crossings may flood and become dangerous to cross.
The trail follows Forest Service Road 455 to Wolf Pen Branch.
