Paulina Visitor Center
Paulina Visitor Center is a re-purposed historic Forest Service Guard Station and the interpretive center for the Newberry Caldera. Visitor information is also available 24 hours a day in the front of the Paulina Visitor Center. Inside, visitors will find a helpful Forest Service ranger and a Discover Your Forest bookstore where maps, books and various souvenirs are available for purchase. In front of the visitor center is also the only self-service pay station in the Caldera.
There is limited parking at the Paulina Visitor Center.

General Information
Directions:
From Crescent, OR: Travel on Highway 97 north for 23 miles and go right on Paulina Lake Road and follow Paulina Lake Road/County Road 21 for about 12 miles to the visitor center.
From Bend, OR: Travel south on Highway 97 for 23.5 miles then turn left (east) onto County Road 21 for about 12 miles to the visitor center.

Interpretive Areas
Visitor Centers
Visitor Center staff operate the Discover Your Northwest bookstore, provide information and also lead interepretive talks and tours at various location in the caldera. These usually occur at the Big Obsidian Flow, Paulina Peak and Paulina Falls. Check in at the Visitor Center or look for flyers and signs in the campgrounds to get information about when and where the talks occur.
