Cultus Lake Campsite

Cultus Lake is one of the most popular of the high Cascade Lakes because it is one of the few that allows high speed motorized water craft. This campground offers opportunities for waterskiing, windsurfing, swimming, sailing, and jet skiing on the lake as well as access to trails that lead north into the Three Sisters Wilderness.

Current Conditions: 2023 Season - The Forest Service conducts in-depth hazard tree inspections of developed recreation facilities on a regular interval. Cultus Lake Campground will close on September 10, 2023, to provide time to conduct inspections and remove identified hazard trees. Closing this facility a few weeks early this fall will minimize impacts to opening dates in spring 2024.
Operational Hours: Visit Recreation.gov for current operating dates. This campground will be closing at noon on September 22, 2024, and the last night to reserve a campsite is September 21, 2024.
Reservations: Reservations can be made online through Recreation.gov or by calling toll free 1-877-444-6777 (International 606-515-6777 or TDD 877-833-6777).
Fees:
  • Single Campsite Rate: $28/night
  • Premium Campsite Rate: $30/night
  • One vehicle included with reservation – Each Additional Vehicle: $10.00
NOTE: Holders of a Golden Age and Golden Access Passports and Senior and Access Passes are entitled to the following discounts on expanded amenity recreation fees: -  A 50 percent discount on the fee for a single camping unit. This discount does not apply to use of a cabin, lookout, double camping unit, triple camping unit, group camping unit, extra vehicle fees, or any additional camping units and separately charged utility, water, hook-up or day use fees.

Restrictions:
  • Maximum site spur length is 30 feet.
  • The water system will be turned on in the month of May depending on weather conditions and will be turned off no later than September 30, 2023, or upon the campground closing, whichever is earlier, to prevent potential damage from cold temperatures.
