Round Lake Trail

From Round Lake Trailhead, the trail climbs westward to the junction with the Summit Lake Trail #4014 at Square Lake within Mt. Jefferson Wilderness.

The Round Lake Trail enters the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness. Wilderness permits are required; see "Permit Info" below.

Permit Info:	There are two types of entry permits required between June 15 and October 15 for entering the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness from this trailhead. Overnight Use Central Cascades Wilderness Permit between June 15 and October 15. Day Use Free, self-issue Wilderness Permit (available at the trailhead) between June 15 and October 15. Restrictions:	Wilderness restrictions apply Pamelia Lake – No camping within 100 feet of high-water mark of lake or any other water source Campfires are prohibited above 5,700 feet and within these lake basins: Marion Lake Ann Lake Table Lake Motorized and mechanical equipment (including bicycles and drones) are prohibited in the Wilderness Groups must be under 12 people and 12 head of stock Build campfires at least 100 feet away from water Pack in / Pack out! “Take only pictures, leave only footprints” — please refrain from cutting, damaging, or gathering vegetation or other forest items (e.g. rocks, artifacts, etc.) Please bury human waste 6-8 inches deep and at least 200 feet away from water

Directions:

From Sisters, OR take Highway 20 north for approximately 12 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 12. In about a mile take a left on Forest Road 1210 and follow to Round Lake. Round Lake trailhead is at the end of 1210-600 spur road near the lake.
