Newberry Group Campsite

IMPORTANT FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2017
From opening dates thru June 29th  2017, campgrounds will be subject to short term closures to allow for hazard tree management and forest restoration efforts adjacent to the campground. Accordingly your ability to reserve camp sites is affected. Please see the “Reservation System Availability At-A-Glance” below for more details.

Boat launches in the Newberry Caldera will not be affected.  Other day use areas such as picnic areas and trailheads will see rotating short term closures.

Closure period notices will typically be posted at the affected recreation site as well as communicated on Forest Service and Hoodoo Recreation websites as they become known.

Our continued goal is to complete this priority work on a schedule that minimizes inconvenience to visitors.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Group Camping

Newberry is definitely the nicest group site and it has a great location on Paulina Lake. The parking area and roads are paved and the group sites are separated from one another, but it would not be hard to join group sites B and C especially, but the whole campground can be reserved as well. There is an RV dump station near the entry of Paulina Lake Campground.
