Crater Rim Trail

This area is Open

This trail is within the Newberry National Volcanic Monument and can be accessed from the Cinder Hill Trailhead or Paulina Day Use Site. It is a difficult 21 mile round trip trail and provides the ultimate destination for high country trails for this area.

This trail has many access points and connectors to other trails including Paulina Lakeshore Trail #3955, Paulina Peak Trail #3951, Lost Lake Trail #3958.2, Parallel Trail #3958.3, and Swamp Wells Trail #3961.
