Green Lakes Trail
Dogs need to be on-leash in Three Sisters Wilderness on: Green Lakes, Moraine Lakes, South Sister, Soda Creek, Todd Lake and Crater Ditch Trails, from July 15 to September 15.
This popular trail leaves from the Green Lakes/Soda Creek trailhead and proceeds north up Falls Creek to Green Lakes and continues to the pass between the South Sister and Broken Top above Green Lakes. At the pass the Green Lake Trail #17 becomes the Green Lakes Trail #4070.

The Green Lakes Trail enters the Three Sisters Wilderness shortly after leaving the trailhead. Wilderness permits are required for both day use and overnight stays from this trailhead. See "Permit Info" below for more details.
Recreation Fee Site: Parking at this site requires a recreation pass. Passes are available at this site, but can be purchased from Forest Service offices or vendors. Please check here for more information about recreation passes and where they can be purchased.

If hiking when snow remains, please stay on trail or snow, rather than creating new trails and damaging fragile vegetation.
Horse Riding
Horses should not use the Green Lakes Trail until it melts entirely free of snow and dries out in late July or August. See additional information under Backpacking.
