Noah's Ark Trail #32005

D2 Noah's Arch

The trail travels south away from campground into a timbered draw. The trail goes through an old fence then starts to climb through scrub oak and into a north slope of mixed conifer. The trail works out of timber and along a ridge of pinyon juniper to the edge of a red rock formation. Good view across canyon to Vermillion Castle can be seen here. Trail continues to climb, sometimes fairly steep, until it works under a large rock rim and cave. Trail switches back through a slide of red rock and finally climb out to a platform with beautiful views in all directions including fabulous rock formations.
