Wannagan Campground


A great meeting area for the north end of the Buffalo Gap Trail. The switchbacks located on the Maah Daah Hey Trail offer a sweeping vista of the region, including a scenic view of many large buttes.

Reservations: First-come, first-served. No reservations are accepted.
Fees: $10 per night. Payments can be placed in the fee tube located at the entrance to the campground; payments must be made immediately upon selecting a site.
Restrictions: Stay limit of 14 consecutive days.
Water: Drinking water w/hand pump during summer months
Restroom: Accessible, unisex vault toilet during summer months

Parking:

Parking pads up to 60-feet long.


Directions:

From the Sentinel Butte exit on I-94 go east three miles and then 14 miles northeast, on road #726 to the camp. 


General Notes:

The camp has six single-unit camp spurs and 4 pull-through camp spurs. This fenced campground has a handicap accessible vault toilet and a potable water well available during the summer months. A day use parking lot is located ¼ mile south of the camp along the south side of road #726
