Carr. 191 North - La Mina Recreational Area

Most of the recreation facilities on the El Yunque National Forest are on Road 191 North in Rio Grande.  The road and most of the recreation sites and trails were constructed during the 1940s by the Civil Conservation Corps. There are numerous trailheads, observation points, and historic sites along the Corridor.

Please Note: Winding Road- Drive Carefully – Speed Limit 20 mph.

La mayoría de las áreas recreativas en el Bosque Nacional El Yunque se encuentran en la carretera 191 norte en Río Grande. El camino y la mayoría de los sitios de recreación y veredas fueron construidos durante la década de 1940 por el Cuerpo de Conservación Civil. Hay numerosas veredas, puntos de observación y sitios históricos a lo largo del Corredor.

Precaución: Carretera con curvas: conduzca con cuidado - Límite de velocidad 20 mph.

Current Conditions: GATE CLOSES AT 5:30pm EVERYDAY. You must exit the 191 corridor by 5:00pm or risk receiving a fine from Law Enforcement. / Portón cierra a las 5:00pm TODOS LOS DIAS. Debe salir en o antes de las 5:00pm, de no hacerlo recibirá una multa de la Policía Federal.
