Area Status: Open

This small, secluded campground is just off Utah State Highway 12. A small creek runs through the lower portion. Tents and small trailers are recommended; RVs over 25 feet are not advised. The scenery is a forest setting including Ponderosa pine, aspen and mixed conifers. Trout fishing is available nearby at the Lower Bowns Reservoir and Oak Creek Reservoir.  Water will be turned off at threat of first frost.  Scheduled to close at the threat of first frost.

Please Note: All campgrounds on the Fishlake National Forest are managed by High Country Recreation under the terms and conditions of a concession permit that was issued to them by the Forest Service in 2020.

General Information


The Oak Creek Campground is 19.2 miles southeast of Torrey, Utah. Head east on UT-24 (main Street) for approximately 1 mile. Turn right (south) onto UT-12 for  18.1 miles.  Turn left (east) on the Oak Creek Road (FR169) for approximately 450 feet. The Oak Creek Campground  will be on the right (south) side of the road.
