The Glacier View Ranger District is bordered on the east by the North Fork of the Flathead River and Glacier National Park. Its northern border is with Canada and its western border is with the Kootenai National Forest.

If you plan to horseback ride in Glacier View Ranger District, please note the following special order: No riding, hitching, tethering, or hobbling a horse or other saddle or pack animal within 200 feet of a lake shore. Lakes included: Moose Lake, Chain Lakes, Diamond Lake, Link Lake, Nasukoin Lake, Whale Lake, Huntsberger Lake and Dead Horse Lake.
