Juniper Springs Nature Trail

Hiking path going over a bridge that is situated over a clear blue spring.

(*BOARDWALK TRAIL TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR PUBLIC SAFETY)

An easy, accessible walk between the swimming area at Juniper Springs and the lovely Fern Hammock Springs, the Juniper Springs Nature Trail is part footpath and mostly boardwalk as it follows the sinuous path of the two spring runs through a dense subtropical forest, providing a 0.8-mile round-trip between these two scenic spots inside Juniper Springs Recreation Area.

Hiking

  • Explore the subtropical habitats along Juniper Run with a walk down the Juniper Run Nature Trail, where tiny springs bubble in shallow coves and ferns wave in the breeze beneath the tall palms and pines.
