Wandering Wiregrass OHV Trail and Trailhead

Providing a 17-mile loop for motorcyclists and ATV riders through the southeastern corner of the Ocala National Forest, the Wandering Wiregrass OHV Trail meanders through hilly longleaf pine habitat south of Alexander Springs.

Access the trail via CR 445 between Altoona and Astor.

Current Conditions: Expect full recreation sites during weekends. Have backup plans. Sites may close when capacity is reached.
Operational Hours: Dawn to dusk
Fees: 3-day, 7-day and annual passes are available online. No entrance fee.
Permit Info: A pass is required to ride OHV trails in the Ocala National Forest. Buy yours online before you go.
Usage: Medium-Heavy
Restrictions: Riders under 16 must pass an online course before riding our trails.
