Camping – Dispersed/Primitive Camping

  • Many people enjoy this solitude and primitive experience, but knowing your limits, skills and abilities is a must. Following certain rules and regulations will help make your experience safer and ensure settings remain unspoiled.

The Swim Pond horse trailer parking area at the southern trailhead is the only developed parking facility available at this time.

Because of the length of the trail, many individuals choose to park alongside a forest road wherever trails cross. This is allowed as long as vehicles do not obstruct traffic or damage natural resources.
