Cottonwood Creek Trail #127
This trail follows the course of Cottonwood Creek from the Cottonwood Complex Campground at Cottonwwood Meadows Lake to Forest Road 3870.014, which is where Cottonwood Creek Trailhead is located. This trail is open to hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bike riders. The environment consists of shady stands of mixed conifers with some large mature cottonwood trees in the lower reaches of the trail. Visitors to the Cottonwood Meadows Campground will find this to be a nice trail for a day-hike to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the forest and a good place to do some small stream fishing for rainbow trout.

General Information
Directions:Cottonwood Trailhead: From Lakeview, OR take Highway 140 west for 24 miles, then turn right on Forest Road 3870. Go on Forest Road 3870 for 8 miles and you should see the campground and trailhead entrance signs.
Cottonwood Creek Trailhead is located 40 minutes northwest of Lakeview, OR. From Lakeview, OR take Oregon Highway 140, toward Bly, Oregon. Follow Hwy 140, then turn right on County Road 2-20, Cottonwood Reservoir Road which will turn into Forest Service (FS) Road 3870 . Continue on FS Road 3870. The trailhead will be on the right.
