This trail is open to ATVs, motorcycles, hikers, horses, and bicycles.

This 4.5 mile trail begins on Forest Road 1260 and climbs to the Packwood Lake Motorcycle parking lot.  This is a motorized route into the north side of Packwood Lake. 

Packwood Lake was used by the Taidnapam people as a fishing and camping site.  The 452-acre lake is located at the headwaters of Lake Creek.  It was formed when a large mass of soil and rock slid off Snyder Mountain and dammed Lake Creek 1,200 years ago.

Current Conditions: 11/26/2018: Snow level approximately 3000'. A Northwest Forest Pass or Interagency Pass is required to park at the trailhead. A fee tube is located at the motorized trailhead below the parking lot. Please call the local Ranger District office for up-to-date information.
Usage: Light-Medium
Restrictions: Bikes, motorcycles, and ATVs are not allowed beyond the parking lot at Packwood Lake. Wilderness Regulations Apply in Goat RocksWilderness.
