Sno-Park: Koshko

Area Status: Open

In a mature and varied forest setting interspersed with mountain meadows and geographic features, this park is near the Indian Heaven Wilderness. Here visitors will find access to trails leading to remote forest lakes, high-mountain elevations.

This Sno-Park accesses 14 miles of ungroomed non-motorized ski trails in a forested setting with a vault toilet in the parking area.

Current Conditions: 12/12/2024: Sno-park is now open for the season. In the winter for winter grooming and plowing updates visit the Washington State Parks winter recreation website. Contact Mt. Adams Ranger District (509) 395-3402 for current conditions. Washington Sno-Park passes are required December 1-March 31.
Permit Info: A valid Washington State Sno-Park Permit is required December 1 to March 31. Sno-Park permits are available to purchase online and also at Ashford Valley Grocery in Ashford, Trout Lake Grocery in Trout Lake and the Chelatchie Prairie General Store in Amboy
  • Sno-park permits help pay for snow removal, trail grooming, sanitation facilities, mapping, trail signs, safety education, enforcement and program administration.

From State Route 14 (near Carson, WA) North on Wind River Highway (Forest Road 30) to Forest Road 3054.


Accessibility:

This site is in a remote forest setting. The parking area is flat, but terrain will be difficult, especially in winter.
