Sno-Park: McClellan Meadows

In a mature and varied forest setting interspersed with mountain meadows and geographic features, this park is near the Indian Heaven Wilderness. Here visitors will find access to trails leading to remote forest lakes, high-mountain elevations and some of the most spectacular country found anywhere.

Ski trails around McClellan Meadows

This Sno-Park accesses 25 miles of cross-country ski trails (both groomed/marked and ungroomed/marked); no snowmobile trails. Parking lot has a 25 vehicle capacity.

Current Conditions: A Washington Sno-Park permit is required from Dec. 1 - March 31.
Permit Info: A valid Washington State Sno-Park Permit is required December 1 to March 31. Sno-Park permits are available to purchase online and also at Ashford Valley Grocery in Ashford, Trout Lake Grocery in Trout Lake and the Chelatchie Prairie General Store in Amboy.  
  • Sno-park permits help pay for snow removal, trail grooming, sanitation facilities, mapping, trail signs, safety education, enforcement and program administration.

Restrictions: Motorized recreation is prohibited on ski trails.

General Information

Directions:

From Carson, Washington take Wind River Highway/Forest Road 30 north for 26 miles. The Sno-Park is at the junction of Forest Roads 30 and 3053. Go right on Forest Road 3053.


Accessibility:

This site is in a remote forest setting. The parking area is flat, but terrain will be difficult, especially in winter.
