At a Glance

Current Conditions: 10/5/2021: Trail was cleared in early-mid summer however current conditions are unknown. Road has a steep slumping section that is difficult for high clearance, 4X4 vehicles. Trail not recommended for stock between Glacier Creek and the Angry Mountain Trail junction.
Permit Info: Wilderness permits are required. The self-issuing permits are free and are available at trailheads and Forest Service offices.

General Information


From Packwood, WA follow  US-12 W for 1.4 miles and turn left on Forest Road 48. Stay on Forest Road 48 for about another 10.8 miles to the Lily Basin trailhead for hikers.
