Provides access to: Packwood Lake Trail #78

Trailhead is on Forest Road 1260 where Packwood Lake Trail No. 78 heads off for the Goat Rocks Wilderness. DO NOT follow alternate routes provided by your phone or navigation device.

Current Conditions: 05/16/2023: Trailhead is open for the season. Trail #78 is open  to the intersection with the Upper Lake Trail #81 but is closed to Lost Lake due to Goat Rocks Fire.  Upper Lake Trail #81 to the other end of Packwood Lake is open. Usage: Light
Restrictions: Wilderness regulations apply within Goat Rocks Wilderness which surrounds much of Packwood Lake.

General Information

Directions:
From Packwood, WA  travel US-12 for .3 miles east and take a right on Snyder Road. travel for 1.2 miles and continue onto Forest Road 1260 for another 4.5 miles to the trailhead.
