Forest Road 85
Area Status: Unknown
Forest Road 85 travels south from Forest Road 52 near Big Creek Campground, to Forest Road 47. The road is paved from Forest Road 52 for approximately 6 miles to the Forest Road 8440 jct., then becomes gravel.
The road provides access to Forest Road 8440 that goes to Highrock Lookout trailhead.
The road also takes you to areas of Huckleberry picking.

From the north heading south, at the Junction with Forest Road Spurs 8511 to 8518, there is a very rough section that even a high clearance vehicle may have difficulty navigating. Traveling from Forest Road Spur 8440 to Forest Road 85, the road is also hard to navigate and only high clearance vehicle recommended. |
