Trail #269 Allen Mountain

Area Status: Open

This trail is open to hiker, horse, motorcycle and bicycle use.

Formerly Skate Mountain Trail, this lightly used trail begins on Forest Road 8460 and climbs 2.5 miles to the top of Allen Mountain. Here it enters the open, subalpine landscape and follows the ridge to its junction with Greenwood Lake Trail #253.

General Information

Directions:

From Packwood, WA follow Forest Road 52 (Skate Creek) north for 4.3 miles and turn left on Forest Road 47. Follow Forest Road 47 for 7.6 miles and turn right on Forest Road 84. Follow Forest Road 84 for 4.1 miles and turn left on Forest Road 8460. Follow Forest Road 8460 for 1.5 miles and arrive at the trail at the end of the road.
