This trail is open to hiker and horse use only.

The Judkin Trail within William O. Douglas Wilderness provides access through subalpine terrain from Jug Lake Trail #43 to Jug Lake and then climbs steeply to the north to Kincaid Trail #42.

At a Glance

Current Conditions: 08/10/2024: The Trail is completely overgrown north of Jug Lake, and over 50 trees are down and tread is impossible to follow through the meadows. Flagged route the woods, however a new route needs to be established.  Some areas within the William O. Douglas Wilderness are higher elevations which can receive fall snow as early as late September. Always check the local forecast before setting off on your hike and have a plan B. For current information, contact Cowlitz Valley Ranger District at 360-497-1100.
