This trail is open to hiker and horse use only.

Klickitat Loop Trail #7A provides users with a loop trail mostly outside of Goat Rocks Wilderness. This trail uses closed logging roads and parts of Klickitat Trail #7, Snowgrass Trail #96, Coleman Weedpatch Trail #121 and some abandoned parts of the Pacific Crest Trail #2000 to form a large loop. Wilderness regulations apply to the areas within the Wilderness. Features include Elk Peak, Chambers Lake, Hugo Lake, Walupt Creek, the Cispus River, outstanding views, berry fields and subalpine ecosystems.

Sections of this trail were constructed and are maintained by members of the Backcountry Horsemen of Washington.

Current Conditions: 8/5/24: Some sections of trail may have brush and vegetation overgrowth on trails. Down trees. Some sections devils clubs can impede ability to navigate on trailways to access peak destinations. Clearing performed recently in surrounding areas of Cody Horse Camp, Trail #7B to 7A. 
Permit Info: Free Wilderness Permit Required to the areas within the Wilderness.  Available at trailheads.
