Trail #258 Silver Creek
This trail is open to motorcycle, hiker, bicycle and horse use.
Located near Bear Prairie, the Silver Creek Trail begins on Forest Road 5240.015 and proceeds generally southwest on an easy grade through an old-growth forest until ending on Forest Road 84.
This trail is cut by road crossings with Forest Road 5222.016, within the first sections of the trail. Bear Prairie is a meadow at the headwaters of Skate Creek. This was the location of a Ranger Station in 1906. This station was seasonally occupied until Skate Creek Road was built in 1947.

Directions:From Packwood, WA follow Forest Road 52 (Skate Creek) north for 11.6 miles and turn left on Forest Road 8440. Follow Forest Road 8440 for .5 miles and turn right on Forest Road 5240015 for .4 miles and arrive at the trail on the left.
