Trail #161B Tatoosh Lake

This trail is open to hiker use only.

This trail within Tatoosh Wilderness leaves the Tatoosh Trail #161, climbing a fairly steep grade to the top of the ridge. The trail tread is badly eroded. The trail then descends steeply to Tatoosh Lake.

Current Conditions: 08/16/2024: The trail is in good shape, but pretty brushy. No trees down.  All but two low flowing water sources have dried up before the lakes.
Permit Info: Wilderness permit required. Permits are free and self-issued at trailhead.
Usage: Light-Medium
Restrictions: Wilderness Regulations apply. Camping, campfires, and stock use are prohibited within Tatoosh Lakes Basin.
