General Information
Directions:From Packwood, WA follow US-12 W for 1.4 miles and turn left on Forest Road 48. Stay on Forest Road 48 for about another 10.8 miles to the Lily Basin trailhead for hikers.

Backpacking
Recreation areas with activity Backpacking:Vehicles should park on Forest Road 1266.070. The trail starts a short distance past the point where Forest Road 1266 is blocked to vehicle traffic. This portion of the reconstructed trail climbs through timber before emerging on Forest Road 1266. Following this abandoned road for half a mile, the trail again leaves the road to the right and climbs through dense forest for 3 miles until it intersects with a timber harvest area. After another half mile, the trail enters the Goat Rocks Wilderness.
