Trail #24 Bluff

Area Status: Open

The trailhead along Forest Road 93 provides an exceptional view of Mount Adams and the Lewis River Valley. Bluff Trail loses 1,800' as it descends along a Douglas fir covered ridgeline before connecting into Lewis River Trail #31 south of Lower Falls Campground.

This trail is steep and sometimes difficult to follow. It intersects the Lewis River Trail 0.5 mile downstream of Forest Road 90 near Crab Creek.

Current Conditions: 07/13/2024: Trail is accessible by FR 93 from the east or from the Lewis River Trail. From the west FR 93 is blocked by a slide and is impassible. Trail is not logged out. For information contact the Mt. Adams Ranger Station 509-395-3402.

Directions:

From Cougar, WA take Forest Road 90 east for about 15 miles then stay right on Forest Road 93 for about 9.5 miles to the trailhead access point.
