This trail is open to motorcycle, hiker, horse and bicycle use.
The trail starts at the Forest Road 4200-514 bridge, crossing the East Fork Lewis River. The trail follows the East Fork upstream. One mile from the start, the East Fork must be crossed at a ford which may be difficult during periods of high water. Beyond the ford the trail continues upstream another 1 mile to a second ford near Poison Gulch. Beyond the second ford the trail climbs steeply toward Little Lookout Mountain and it ends at Forest Road 41.
