Trail #54 Buck Creek
General trail guide for Morrison Creek area. Trails include: Snipes Mountain #11, Gotchen Creek #40, Buck Creek #54, Pine Way #71, Cold Springs #72, Crofton Butte #73, and Salt Creek #75.
This Trail Open to Hikers, Bikers and Equestrian Use.
Most of the area is rocky and heavily forested. The trail has rolling grades and three stream crossings. This trail accesses Morrison Creek Trail #39 which accesses Mt Adams Wilderness. Nice views of the White Salmon River and bridges are available along the trail.

| Current Conditions: | 10/19/2024: Trail is open and unburned to the junction with FR 8031. Upper Buck Creek north of FR 8031 was burned by the Williams Mine Fire and conditions are hazardous. Read information on hiking in burned areas(Burned Area Safety on the PCT web site) before coming. Remember hiking this portion of the trail is at your own risk. Directions:Northern access: via Forest Road 8031-041 to the north. (No parking)
Southern access: Lower Buck Creek trailhead.
