Trail #16 Shorthorn
The 2.8 mile Shorthorn Trail begins in Morrison Creek Campground, located on the southern slopes of Mt. Adams, and climbs north into Mt Adams Wilderness through sparse pine and over rocky slopes. It crosses Shorthorn Creek before ending at it's intersection with Round the Mountain Trail #9.

General Information
Directions:From Trout Lake, Washington, travel on Highway 141 to the intersection with Mt. Adams Road at the gas station. Take Mt. Adams Road and continue north to the V intersection with Forest Road 23. At this interesection fork to the right on to FH 17. Continue driving for one mile to the turn on to Forest Road 80, signed South Climb. Make the left hand turn on to Forest Road 80 and continue north to the intersection with Forest Roads 8031 and 8040. Turn right on to Forest Road 8040. Continue driving north to Morrison Creek Campground at the intersection with Spur Road 500. Turn left into the campground and drive to the back to the trailhead. "
