Trail #70 Steamboat Lake

This Trail Open to Hiker and Equestrian Use.

This 0.5 mile trail follows the northern edge of Steamboat Lake to the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail #2000.

Current Conditions: 08/03/2024: In summer Steamboat Lake is accessible only with High clearance vehicles. The trail connects the Lake with the PCT. For further information, contact the Mt. Adams Ranger District (509) 395-3402.

Restrictions: Closed to All Motorized Use. Bicycle Use Prohibited.

Water: Treat all non potable water before consuming.

General Information

Directions:

Trail can be acessed from Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail #2000 east of Big Mosquito Lake.

Steamboat Lake:

Trout Lake, WA head northwest on HIghway 141 for 1.5 miles. Turn right on Trout Lake Creek Road and follow for 4 miles. Then take Forest Road 88 for 8.4 miles to Forest Road 8851 and follow for 3 miles and turn right on Forest Road 8854 and follow to Steamboat Lake.
