Trail #14 Steamboat Viewpoint

This Trail Open to Hikers Only.
A short 0.5 mile pleasant trail with wildflowers in season that climbs to the top of Steamboat Mountain, a former fire lookout site, with an intertesting view of the summit of Mt. Adams.

General Information
Directions:FromTrout Lake, Washington go one mile north to Trout Lake Creek Road and turn right. Continue on Trout Lake Creek Road until it crosses the Forest Boundary where it becomes Forest Road 88. Continue on Forest Road 88 to the Big Tire intersection. Then fork left onto Forest Road 8851. Travel about 3 miles and turn right on Forest Road 8854. Drive to Spur road 021 and fork to the left past the open gate. Continue to gravel pit at the end of the road. Park in the gravel pit. The trailhead is on the left.
