Lewis River Recreation Area

Area Status: Closed

Small attractively wooded horse camp with a highline at each site. The campground has access to several trails including Indian Heaven Wilderness via the Race Track Trail #171 across the road from the campground. The interior road is narrow and lacks large vehicle turning radius.

Campground and roads are gravel. Interior roads have tight turns and the camp sites are small.

Directions:

From Carson, WA follow Wind River Hwy (Forest Road 30) north for about 5 miles to Forest Road 65 (Turn right onto Old State Road and take the 1st left onto Forest Road 65/Panther Creek Road). Continue to follow Forest Road 65 for about 13 miles to Falls Creek Horse Camp. The camp is located adjacent to Forest Road 65.
