Soap Creek Campground - Gunnison RD
This campground provides access to the southern trails of the West Elk Wilderness. On site is Coal Mesa Trailhead, which is the portal for a network of trails including 451.2 (Coal Mesa), 451 and 452. Horse corrals and bins are located adjacent to the campground. 21 campsites.

Directions:Taking U.S. Highway 50 to Colorado State Highway 92, turn right on to Highway 92 and travel 1 mile to County Road 721 (also Forest Road #721). Turn right on Forest Road #721 and drive 7.25 miles to Forest Road #824. Turn right on to Forest Road #824 and travel 0.5 miles.
