Deep Creek #418

The Deep Creek Trail #418 begins at an intersection with the Jud Wiebe Trail #432 and ends at a trailhead parking area on the Last Dollar Road (FSR 638). This trail provides access into the Mount Sneffels Wilderness, where Wilderness Regulations apply, as well as a connector route to the Town of Telluride. This is a good trail for early and late season use due to its southern exposure. Most of the tail travels through aspen with scattered spruce/fir, crossing several bridges along the way. There are several steep sections that make it a challenging hike or bike ride. Several overlooks provide panoramic views of the ski area and San Juan Mountains to the south.
