The Divide Forks Cutoff Trail #639 is used as a connecting route between the Smith Point Road, FSR #406 and the Divide Road, FSR #402, just south if the Divide Forks Campground. The trail tranverses on relatively flat terrain which makes it an easy trail to hike. It travels through mostly aspens and some oakbrush with intermittent open parks and crosses a few small creeks, fish are rarely available at the creek crossings.

NORTHERN ACCESS:
From the Northern Forest Boundary, travel 9.3 miles south on Divide Road, FSR #402 to the Divide Forks Cutoff Trailhead. This is located just South of the Divide Forks Campground.
SOUTHERN ACCESS:
From the Northern Forest Boundary, travel 13.3miles south on Divide Road, FSR #402 to the Cold Springs Ranger Station turn-off. Turn left and travel east for 0.4 miles until the road splits. Stay left at this fork and continue northeast on the Smith Point Road, FSR #406, for 0.9 miles to another fork. Stay left at this fork and continue on the Smith point Road for another 0.2 miles to a two-track which forks off of the left (north) side of the road. This is the beginning of the Divide Forks Cutoff Trail.
